This section will focus on learning relevant educational theories and reading/conducting educational research. Two main units for the section are first about Educational Theory and the second one about Educational Research.
In the Educational Theory unit we’ll look at a variety of theories about how people learn and explore in class how we learn ourselves. There will be reading opportunities to explore more about learning theory and our conversations will continue through the semester.
In the Educational Research unit we’ll be looking more at educational research and how it is conducted. A main focus of our work during this unit will be to examine some educational research pieces to understand their structure, learning about where to find useful research for implementing with digital learning, and then finally learning about the structure of conducting our own Action Research Projects.
