Assignment
Discussion is one of the most difficult things to “get right” when you are teaching in a digital environment. Taking inspiration from our discussion in class, as well as your experiences (good and bad) with online discussion, propose a discussion activity for your course that you think would be engaging, useful to students, and which would encourage them to participate fully. Be creative with your ideas, don’t worry about the technology — we’ll talk about/work on how to make that happen later — I want you to imagine what the best ways of doing discussion online in your discipline are.
