Assignment
Think about elements of spaces that you find/have found engaging throughout your learning career. These could be school spaces, or “third spaces” that you have used to be productive, feel creative, etc.
Write a few notes as you are thinking about these spaces and come prepared for a discussion on Friday about them. We’ll try to identify some common engaging elements and then discuss how the online course can include such elements.
DELIVERABLE: Once you have done the thinking part of this assignment about engaging learning spaces please write a short post, paper, or commentary on the ideal elements of a learning space. Think about how this may fit with your teaching, affect your discipline, or otherwise impact the design of your “classroom.” Provide a link to your completed document to Scott by Tuesday October 29 at 9:00am
